For assistance on how to apply, please click here Job Description: Position Overview This position is responsible for contributing to product and technology research and development efforts in a manner that meets the needs of customers, achieves growth and profitability objectives, and allows for efficient and effective product introduction Key Responsibilities Develop, plan and implement product and technology development projects from conception to production. Provide technical support to manufacturing by identifying and implementing process and formulation improvements that improve throughput, reduce cost, enhance quality, improve product performance, enhance worker safety and protect the environment. Provide technical support to operations and business/technology development, assisting with the identification and assessment of new technology and/or process improvement initiatives. Establish, maintain, report on and accomplish the priorities established in a technical project plan; manage and control the budgeted expenses associated with the technical plan. Recognize and respond to seasonal and project-specific time constraints What is expected of you and others at this level Intermediate knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills Solves a range of problems Analyzes possible solutions using and creating standard procedures Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction Minimum Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Materials Science required 2-5 years’ relevant experience required Physical Requirements and Working Environment Working conditions include laboratory work as well as office work Must be able to sit/stand for an extended period of time Exposure to dust, chemicals, hazardous materials etc. This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
