Tasc Technical Services is Hiring a Materials Scientist Near Bethpage, NY
Candidate can be a seasoned 5-10 year graduate BS and/or MS in Material Science, Metallurgy, Physics with demonstrated experience in the use of the Analytical Instruments named.
OR
A recent grad from a BS and/or MS Program with educational, internship experience in the use of the Analytical Instruments named.
This person will work alongside an existing small team that analyzes and compiles and reports data for reporting
Minimum of a BS in Physics, Chemistry, Metallurgy, or Materials ScienceExperience with Analytical Instrumentation: Spectrometers (both Spectrophotometers and FTIRs), Microscopes, and other materials characterization tools.Computer acumen: comfortable with Excel and MATLAB (a plus) and the statistical treatment of data.Other qualities: a self-starter, well organized, good communication and be able to generate reports, monthly inputs to inform team members, managers, and customers.Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: Based on Experience
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
