This is an entry level financial planner position with significant opportunity for advancement. You will be employed by two partner advisors and have the opportunity of being the first addition to our financial planning department. This means you will work directly alongside partner advisors, have the opportunity to learn all of the intricies of our financial planning business, and have the inside track with advancement opportunities to Financial Planner and Senior Financial Planner. We are looking for a candidate that is excited to learn how to provide life changing value to clients in the form of financial advice.
Primary responsibilities will revolve around supporting partner advisors in the delivery of financial advice to clients. The Associate Planner will also be involved with day-to-day operations, which will allow the candidate to attain a comprehensive understanding of our business. The Associate Financial Planner must be licensed to conduct securities and insurance business or have a desire to become licensed. It's important to note this is not a sales position.
Roles/Duties
· Assist partner advisors with prep, note taking, and follow up for client appointments.
· Collect data from clients and prospective clients via in person, email and/or phone.
· Input data into financial planning software.
· Run reports using various financial software tools such as Emoney, Albridge, and Holistiplan.
· Answer basic client questions about their accounts.
· Answer basic client questions about their financial plan.
· Deliver reports and information to clients.
· Research client specific questions relating to their financial plan.
Expectations for the Associate Financial Planner
· Two years of industry experience or a financial planning degree is preferred.
· Being personable and having a positive attitude is a must.
· Being self-motivated and resourceful is an expectation.
· Tremendous attention to detail is a necessity.
· Comfortable operating computer software is important.
