MGO is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Sacramento, CA

Overview

 Summary:

The Financial Analyst works closely with the Financial Planning and Analysis Director. This role will analyze current and financial data and performance, prepare reports and projections based on analysis to share with leadership team, identify trends and provide recommendations and prepare financial models and forecasting to support firm growth initiatives and business model.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current and financial data
  • Prepare reports and projections
  • Identify trends

 

Essential Functions:

  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
  • Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions to a senior financial analyst based on sound analysis
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
  • Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Nonessential Functions:

· Performs other duties as directed by the Financial Planning and Analysis Director

Conditions:

  • Moderate overtime required throughout the year
  • Heavy sitting for extended periods in front of a computer
  • Travel, including overnight, may be required approximately 5% of time
  • Minimal Hazards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Finance, Economics or related field
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
  • Ability to design financial models and present findings
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills

  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionali
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in Englis
  • Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skill
