South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) seeks highly motivated and qualified candidates for the position of Tasting Room Manager. The position is full time and is overtime eligible.
The Tasting Room Manager reports directly to the Business Director for Craft, Brewing and Distilling. The Tasting Room Manager is responsible for providing exemplary service as a Brand Ambassador of the Percival Creek Brewing, Cider, and Distilling Brands.
The Tasting Room Manager is expected to exercise initiative, independence, and discretion in the management and daily operation of the Tasting Room. The position requires a flexible work schedule including availability for evening and weekends. Many activities are performed independently and with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for daily operations of Percival Creek tasting room including but not limited to:
    • Open and close the tasting room
    • Light food preparation
    • Beverage & food service
    • Inventory management of food and beverages
    • Customer experience, requires providing a welcoming, inclusive, safe and enjoyable environment for guests
    • Maintain a clean and organized environment, following all Department of Health regulations and basic health & safety requirements
  • Guest Education
    • Assist the Business Director, where possible, in support of SPSCC’s Craft, Brewing, and Distilling Programs
    • Educate customers about the Percival Creek Brand Products
    • Work cohesively with the Director of Business to represent Percival Creek Brands at select industry events as needed (ie. Festivals, Trade Events, etc.)
  • Assist the Director of Business in building relationships within the local community as it pertains to marketing, sales, and distribution of the Percival Creek Brands. There is an option available to earn a percentage of gross sales to be paid quarterly in addition to your base salary.

Qualifications You Possess

Minimum Requirements

  • Prior experience in the Food and Beverage Service industry
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Current Food Handlers permit
  • Current Mast permit
  • Proper knowledge of and experience with operating POS systems
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations, solving problems and making decisions
