Test Engineer

The Test Engineer is responsible for evaluating and reporting the performance of installed pedestals against specifications provided by the tool manufacturer.

Fulcrum Technologies, Inc., is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of custom machine bases for vibration sensitive production tools used in the semiconductor fabrication process. We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled Test Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Provides testing, survey and troubleshooting in the following areas:
  • Vibration
  • Stiffness
  • EMI
  • Electrostatic discharge
  • Acoustic
• Provide detailed reporting of tests.
• Recommend solutions to bring product or installation up to customer specifications.
• Represent Fulcrum during testing.
• Participate in all safety training, wear the required PPE, and adhere to Fulcrum safety policies.

Requirements:

• BS in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Testing Engineer for a manufacturing business.
• Excellent understanding of signal processing and modal analysis.
• Semiconductor industry experience (preferred).
• Experience with Faro laser tracking systems and CAM2 software (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for projects.
• Proven ability to think critically.
• Excellent skills in MS Office
• Ability to manage and meet competing deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, and the ability to clearly communicate technical issues.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and excellent customer service skills.
• Understand existing test equipment settings and to generate the required data.
• Independently troubleshoot test equipment and some product issues. 

Work Environment:

• This position requires 80% - 90% travel.
• Testing work will be performed in cleanrooms.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to move/climb through cleanroom construction areas with incomplete floors.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work on scissor lifts.
• Occasional visits to office environments.
• Occasional visits to the Fulcrum manufacturing floor where PPE must be worn.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Extensive overnight travel, both domestic and international.
• A valid driver’s license and valid passport are required.
• The ability to obtain rental cars is required.
