K-Factor, Inc. is a FDOT DBE/SBE certified construction engineering and inspection company seeking a full-time CEI Inspector for roadway construction projects.

Job Summary: Under the supervision of a Senior Inspector, assures that test results used for quality control, verification, dispute resolution and acceptance of asphalt pavements are performed in accordance with the standard test methods. Safely and effectively samples soil materials from the roadway, take earthwork density readings and record those findings in a density log book.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent plus two (2) years’ experience in construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection. Or an Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering degree with the ability to earn additional required qualifications listed below within one year. (Note: Engineer Intern classification requires E.I.T. certificate)

Required CTQP Qualifications/Other Certifications

  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector 1
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 1
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety Certification
