Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is Hiring a Client Services Technician Near Terre Haute, IN

Client Services Technician

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an opening in the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) Department for a Client Services Technician. We have been ranked No. 1 among U.S. engineering colleges by the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Guide for the last 25 consecutive years.

The Client Services Technician will repair, maintain, and troubleshoot issues for student laptops and other Institute-owned computers; maintain the campus printers used by employees and students in public areas. The position will identify, investigate, and resolve basic user questions; inventory, schedule and perform hardware maintenance.

The position sets up new devices for employees and students; assist clients in making decisions concerning the selection of technologies and/or services; deliver and set up new workstations and other hardware following Institute recommended guidelines. The position will provide first-level technical computing support and related services to employees and students through walk-ins, on-site visits, phone, and e-mail. The position will install and configure software for network connectivity, backups, server access, etc. on user systems.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED. One to three years of relevant work experience.

Preferred candidates will have an associate degree or vocational or technical school degree.
