Client Services Technician
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technologyhas an opening in the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) Department for aClient Services Technician.We have beenranked No. 1 among U.S. engineering colleges by the U.S. News & World ReportBest Colleges Guide for the last 25 consecutive years.
The Client Services Technician will repair,maintain, and troubleshoot issues for student laptops and other Institute-ownedcomputers; maintain the campus printers used by employees and students inpublic areas. The position will identify, investigate, and resolve basic userquestions; inventory, schedule and perform hardware maintenance.
The position sets up new devices foremployees and students; assist clients in making decisions concerning theselection of technologies and/or services; deliver and set up new workstationsand other hardware following Institute recommended guidelines. The positionwill provide first-level technical computing support and related services toemployees and students through walk-ins, on-site visits, phone, and e-mail. Theposition will install and configure software for network connectivity, backups,server access, etc. on user systems.
Qualified candidates will have a highschool diploma or GED. One to three years of relevant work experience.
Preferred candidates will have anassociate degree or vocational or technical school degree.
