JOB SUMMARY:

The Aquatics Director is responsible to ensure all participants are provided with activities which promote the social, cultural, educational, physical, and leadership potential of the child. Under the Aquatics Director’s supervision all aquatic facilities will be clean and staffed by certified employees who reflect and support the Mission of the Old Colony Y. He/she will uphold the employee code of conduct and will ensure that all areas of the job responsibilities reflect the mission of the Old Colony Y, and regulating agency. The Aquatics Director will display and encourage the character traits of caring, responsibility, honesty and respect in the fulfillment of all job duties.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• WSI or YMCA Swim Certification required
• Team Leader Certification from Y-USA
• Must acquire and maintain certification with the following and within required timelines: Ellis LG & LGI, YMCA LG & LGI, YSL & YSLI, YMCA Swim Instructor and YMCA Swim Instructor Trainer, YMCA Aquatic Management, and Pool Certification
• Minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• Certified Pool Operator License
• Must be physically able to teach aquatic lessons and lift an adult male from the pool to the pool deck
• Complete program specific and employee orientation training by required timeline.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
