Title: Accounting Manager

Compensation: $100,0000 - $125,000 in salary bonus

Location: Tacoma, WA

Company Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our organization In this position, you will Lead and coordinate accounting duties within our subsidiary organization. This role is a critical financial role within the organization, supporting the Controller in establishing and maintaining financial policies, procedures, controls, metrics, and reporting The role is responsible for managing monthly close processes, generating operational reporting, providing analytical support regarding production metrics, and will directly manage the accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities for a subset of the business
• Support all accounting general ledger operations and processes, including cash, billings, revenue, payables and accruals, payroll, benefits, intercompany transactions, allocations and consolidation.
• Implementation and enforcement of internal controls, including policies procedures and workflow documentation
• Support business integration and consolidation activities
• Develop and maintain a system of cost allocations to ensure payroll and accounts payable data is properly assigned.
• Assist with establishing sound fiscal policies and procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Financial outcomes through accurate and timely analysis of budgets, operating costs, and financial trends.
• Oversee integration of the organization’s annual budget and monitoring the approval of contracts, budget modifications, and audit processes.
• Review vouchers before submission and assist with budget development as part of the request for proposal and contract budget modification process. Work in concert with Controller, CFO to provide guidance and overall leadership to the Finance team.
• Assist with the coordination of the annual audit, ensuring that required schedules are prepared in a timely manner.
• Participate in budget variance meetings.

Education and Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• CPA, CMA, or MBA is preferred
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Manufacturing and Cost Accounting experience is a major plus!
