Lutheran Community Services Northwest is Hiring a Credentialing specialist Near Tacoma, WA

THE ROLE : All LCSNW team members will contribute to our mission of partnering with individuals, families and communities for health, justice and hope.

This position is responsible for supporting the credentialing and re-credentialing for behavioral health and medication management providers for Lutheran Community Services Northwest (LCSNW).

Supports facilities with credentialing and contracting with relevant bodies, which would include but not be limited to health insurance programs and the Health Care Authority.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Serves as a hub for communication and reporting about credentialing between the Human Resources, Finance and Contracting departments, the local Districts, and other stakeholders.
  • Compiles and maintains current and accurate credentialing data for all providers and facilities, and online provider directory information.
  • Verifies existing and tracks pending provider credentials / licenses required for positions
  • Maintains credentialing files, which includes NPDB, education verification, credentialing application completion, DEA certificates, state license, NPI verification, Medicaid verification as applicable.
  • Assists providers with National Provider Identifier enrollment.
  • Maintains copies of current state licenses, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers and facilities.
  • Ensures information is maintained current in relevant LCSNW databases, such as the Electronic Health Record, and designated credentialing tracking systems.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Detail-oriented
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Basic mastery of business applications and productivity suites
  • Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles / barriers.
  • Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle
  • Demonstrates exceptional commitment to serving and advocating for diverse and marginalized populations
  • Successfully completes tasks in a moderately noisy environment
  • Interacts with others and performs tasks in-person and through the use of technology, with longperiods of stationary activity and minimal periods of increased physical activity including and not limited to sitting, standing, walking, and writing / typing.
  • Travels between worksites occasionally
  • Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, and faith-based settings such as churches
  • Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program
