JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Physical Education Teacher
Qualifications: NYS Certification in Physical Education (Preferred)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Master’s Degree preferred but not required
Purpose Statement: Do you want to become part of something special?Bishop Ludden Jr/Sr High School, an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, is seeking an energetic, qualified physical education teacher to teach grades 7-12. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) School, opportunities to teach in the IB program may arise as well as coaching.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Teach Jr and Sr High School Physical Education
· Coaching required.
· Integrate with other subject area curriculum through partnerships with teachers.
· Manage student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and stimulating learning environment.
· Cooperate and collaborate with school administration to meet school objectives.
· Develop a nurturing environment that emphasizes a love of learning
· Be able to assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
· Supervise students in various environments
