Swanton Elementary School has openings for the 2024-2025 school year in special education. Successful candidates will provide both case management and direct services to students within the K-6 grade range with a variety of academic and social-emotional disabilities. Special educators work as part of a collaborative team with students, families, teachers, support staff, outside agencies and consultants, and administration, to ensure an appropriate education that allows students to fulfill their potential. Experience with the positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) approach preferred. An unconditional respect of students and families, along with positive contributions to the school climate, are required. Positions open until filled.
