You will maintain the status on multiple projects, document and report on the status of project schedules, and oversee scheduled delivery of goods to the project sites to meet customer demands and deadlines.

General Position SummaryThe Project Coordinator (Supply Chain) is responsible for ensuring the schedule, budget, and details of assigned customer orders are well organized. They plan, execute, and communicate with various department to keep everyone informed of projects from inception of order through final installation at customer site. In addition, they promptly report to management on risks to key objectives and help keep the team on track to achieve project deadlines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & KRA (Key Result Areas)> Safety/Culture
  • Continuously maintains Orenco management's safety, cultural, and professional standards.
  • Promotes, encourages, and reinforces a positive safety culture, safe practices, and a safe work environment to all employees.
  • Conducts all work in a safe manner and promotes safe work practices to all associates and their clients.
> Leading
  • Manages and communicates a clear vision of project objectives and motivates the project team to achieve them; creates a project environment that enables peak performance by team members.
  • Takes a leadership role in the coordination, development, and execution of assigned production planning and assembly projects for Orenco.
  • Oversees order requirements as required.
> Project Management
  • Maintains Status of multiple projects.
  • Documents project goals and priorities with guidance from project team.
  • Works closely with Production Planning, Production, Purchasing, Logistics and Sales staff/departments for assigned projects.
  • Facilitates the development of project scope, objectives, milestones, timeline, action items, goals, and deliverables.
  • Organizes the work into manageable activity clusters (phases, swim lanes, stages, etc.) and drives the project team to define an effective approach to completing the work.
  • Coordinates the activities of the project team to meet project milestones.
  • Analyzes risks, establishes contingency plans, and identifies trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigating action.
  • Facilitates "lessons learned" discussion to call out decisions and strategies that worked well and those that could have been improved.
> Communication
  • Documents and reports on status of schedules to meet customer demands.
  • Coordinates relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients and vendors, keeping the stakeholders informed of progress and issues to manage expectations on customer orders, requirements, and deliverables.
> Coordination
  • Facilitates needs for offsite assembly.
    • Travel, location identification, facilities requirements, equipment requirements, billing (work with Sales and Customer Service).
  • Oversees scheduled delivery of goods to project site.
  • Oversees project requirements (material, labor, locations requirements).
  • Works to resolve conflict and problems with assigned projects.
  • Works with purchasing staff to assure needed material are onsite in support of projects.
  • Works closely with production planning, purchasing, sales and operations staff to meet production deadlines.
> Work to be done during manufacturing business hours, however this position may on occasion work outside business hours to support department and business needs. Occasional long hours may be required.
> Regular, consistent, and predictable attendance is required.
> Performs other duties as assigned.
EducationAssociate degree preferred, will consider a combination of equivalent experience in the area of planning and coordination of customer projects.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
  • One or more years experience in using formal project management methodology, techniques, and tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing project deliverables such as, project plan, status reports, project timesheets, estimates, reports, risk management plan, budget (work hours and cost), milestone/deliverable charts, etc.
  • Production planning experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope, and quality while bringing projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.
  • Proficiency with project management software tools used by the enterprise.
  • Above average organizational skills are required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to successfully interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and extreme variations in educational levels.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to priority changes with little notice and to remain calm during confrontational or high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to use sound judgement and follow through in problem solving and decision making processes.
  • Must be willing and able to travel if/when business need requires, includes meeting current travel requirements with airlines as well as in final destinations.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain Orenco's approved driver criteria; a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, current insurance on personal vehicle if used for business, and meet company insurability requirements.

Working ConditionsPrimarily indoor office environment and may include limited time in production areas. Travel requirements may include operation of a motor vehicle, airplane travel, and overnight stays in temporary lodging. May require the ability to visit project sites that are situated on a variety of developed and undeveloped terrain/locations. Includes exposure to outside weather conditions and occasional exposure to dust, other outside elements, and wastewater that may require the proper use of personal protective equipment including but not limited to gloves.
Physical RequirementsRegular job duties include seeing, speaking, hearing, reading, writing, legible handwriting, keyboarding, prolonged periods of sitting including extended time viewing a computer screen. Intermittent physical activity includes but is not limited to touching, holding, grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulders and below knees, low back bending, twisting, turning, kneeling, crawling, stooping, squatting. standing, walking, and climbing stairs and ladders. Unassisted light lifting and/or carrying of under 20 lbs. is required. May also include occasional unassisted lifting and/or carrying of up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 70 lbs., lifting and/or carrying over 70 lbs. must be assisted. Operation of a motor vehicle and airplane travel may be required. Travel needs are determined by business need and assigned job tasks and responsibilities. Travel may require the ability to visit project sites that are situated on a variety of developed and undeveloped terrain/locations.
Salary: $22.29 - $34.14 per hour
