Commercial Loan Assistant
Location: Sumner, IL
Position Summary:
The Commercial Loan Assistant will provide support to the lenders, enabling them to focus on business development and credit underwriting. Perform duties that will support and enhance the loan process. The Commercial Loan assistant will troubleshoot and resolve business-client inquires. The selected candidate will provide customer support in absence of the Commercial Lender. Assist in developing marketing and sales initiatives and support business development activities. This includes booking and servicing loans and preparing reports for management. Communicate effectively with loan department to promote efficient and accurate workflow.
Specific Job Duties:
Review and organize loan files to ensure all proper documentation is included and complies with bank standards.
Accurately and efficiently, process, prepare, assist loan-servicing functions and remedy loan exceptions and other general support needed.
Participate in agricultural related affairs and represent bank at ag-related meetings
Assist with customer loan inquiries while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
Provide customer service including answering phones, assisting customers with questions and/or concerns pertaining to their loan.
Procure necessary financial data on current and prospective loans.
Provide a variety of support functions to the lenders.
Required Competencies:
· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
· Strong communication skills & customer service
· Initiative, self-starter
· Technical/computer capabilities (Microsoft Suite)
Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree or equivalent, preferred
