Oklahoma State University is Hiring a Communications Specialist Near Stillwater, OK

Help future Cowboys find their place at OSU! As part of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, our creative and collaborative communications team is responsible for strategic communication, marketing and outreach efforts to prospective students, their families and other internal and external audiences. This includes creating engaging content and executing a robust communication flow for email, print, social media, web, events and more. This position will also support special initiatives and other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions for Communications and the Director of Undergraduate Admissions.
Some evening and weekend activities may be required in order to meet the needs of prospective students and their parents.

A cover letter, resume and list of three professional references is required for full consideration. Education & ExperiencePosition Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
Related work experience in general communications, social media, project management, website editing, content creation, video editing, graphic design, publishing and campaign implementation and planning.
Valid driver's license
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to organize materials, write, edit, visualize concepts, communicate and interpret goals, including demonstrated proficiency in the use of AP style and adaptive writing. Knowledge of communications and ability to align content with audience needs. Must be creative, learn quickly and adapt to quickly changing environment.
Ability to lift 45 lbs (recruitment materials)
Preferred Qualifications: Three plus years of successful experience in communications. Experience writing content for multiple mediums, including email, print, social media and web. Experience producing and managing social media content for a brand organization. Graphic design experience. Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills. Experience using Adobe Suite.
