The manager oversees the activities of Patient Access staff to ensure prompt accessibility for patients to obtain hospital and ambulatory services. Responsible for day-to-day operations including: gathering of accurate demographic, insurance, consents, authorization, and financial information; verification of benefits; and collection of co-pays/co-insurance at time of service.
This manager is also responsible for maintaining department policies, procedures, and is the onsite Epic Cadence/ADT systems expert and works collaboratively with end users, application analysts, and IS&T staff. The manager develops standard workflows that will align with other HealthPartners locations but also meet the business requirements of the local services.
