CLOVE LAKES HEALTHCARE AND REHABILITATION CENTER is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Staten Island, NY

Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation is now hiring a Human Resources Generalist who are committed to providing the best life and care for our residents. Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center is a 576-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in the heart of Staten Island. This position is responsible for a wide range of human resources support for staff covering the following areas: recruiting, new hire onboarding, supporting new hire orientation, employee leave administration, maintaining employee data and changes, managing employee bonuses and reward programs, ensuring Equal Employment Opportunity compliance, completing employment verification requests, and conducting education and training on HR systems, processes and policies as needed. This position will be cross-trained in Benefits, Unemployment and Workers Compensation claim management, and will serve as the backup for payroll. This role will also focus on special projects related to HR which include presenting HR content during trainings, meetings and presentations. This position is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Work hours can be discussed upon interview.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Manages the recruitment and interview process, including reviewing applications/resumes and conducting and scheduling interviewsConducts background checks, reference checks, licensing/certification checks, and schedules employee health screenings and pre-hire COVID testingAssists with scheduling and organizing new hire orientationProcesses new hire paperwork and employee status changes, wage changes, and terminationsEnsures compliance with all state and federal laws and recordkeeping requirementsAdministers employee reward programs, including bonuses and other benefitsManages employee leaves (i.e., NYS Disability, Family Medical Leave, Paid Family Leave, Military Leave, etc.)Oversees EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) compliance, including annual reportingComplete employment verifications as neededAddress employee questions related to Benefits, Unemployment, and Workers Compensation management as needed (will be cross-trained)Utilize and maintain HR systems for recruiting and all other HR related tasksConduct trainings and provide education on HR systems, processes, and policies as the need arisesServe as back up for Payroll processingPerforms all other duties as assignedQualificationsAssociates degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline preferredAt least one year of Human Resource experience in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of employment-related laws, regulations, and requirementsKnowledge of the HR best practices in the areas noted in the responsibilities aboveFamiliarity with Department of Health regulations preferredExtremely organized, with a strong attention to detailProficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)Highly professional, confidential, and able to use discretion when dealing with sensitive informationExcellent oral and written communication skillsAble to work independently with limited supervision Self-starter, with a willingness to learnClove Lakes offers a competitive benefits package, including:Competitive Benefits Package Consisting of Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401k, Direct Deposit, and More!Wonderschool- a free concierge service that helps our full time employees discover and sign up for quality child care programs nearby!Flexible Scheduling #2024
