Bridge Back to Life Centers has two openings for a Medical Receptionist/Front Desk position, in our Staten Island Location.
The hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Check in and check out patients.
- Schedule appointments.
- Confirms appointments.
- Answering phones
- Taking referrals and creating new medical charts.
- Verifying insurance via phone and online
- Collect co-pays and patient balances.
- Collect current or updated insurance documents.
- Ensure that patients have completed all necessary paperwork.
- Booking medical appointments as needed
- Preparing toxicologies when requested.
- Uploading paperwork into EMR system.
- Maintain reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Required 1-year medical front desk/receptionist experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry proficient.
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Personality and demeanor to deal with the public and assist ill, or distraught patients.
Education/Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a certified medical office training course preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
