The QA/Safety Manager will oversee all aspects of quality assurance and safety. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining systems to ensure that all products and services meet the highest quality standards and that all company operations are conducted safely and in compliance with relevant regulations
Onsite: Stafford/Sugarland, TX (some WFH 1-2 days per week after settling in period)

• Relocation to Houston, TX provided for the right candidate

Preferred Skills: HSE experience, Organic solvent safety and waste management, High-pressure gas handling management, Experience in industrial analyzer manufacturing or engineering
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance:

• Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure quality across all stages of production or service delivery
• Analyze data and reports to identify areas for improvement in quality processes

Safety Management

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
• Coordinate safety training sessions for all employees
• Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

Waste Management

• Develop and oversee waste management policies and procedures, focusing on reduction, reuse, and recycling
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding waste handling and disposal
• Conduct audits and assessments to minimize waste and identify opportunities for waste reduction and cost savings
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate waste management practices into overall operations
• Educate and train staff on effective waste management practices

Compliance And Reporting

• Stay updated with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to quality and safety
• Prepare and present reports on quality and safety compliance to senior management
• Handle external audits and inspections and respond to findings

Continuous Improvement

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in quality and safety practices
• Implement new technologies or methodologies to enhance quality and safety
• Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving activities to improve quality and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field of Engineering
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or similar
• Experience in quality assurance and safety management
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, quality systems (like ISO), and safety regulations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools
• Strong leadership and communication skills
