Responsibilities:
- Protect the excellent guest experience we deliver at Westbound & Down
- Lead the team in Line Cooking knowledge
- Assist in training new line cooks
- Maintain cultural standards in workforce
- Support all elements of service making sure all members of team are set up for success
- Maintain the highest food quality standards
- Execute Chef Team’s food menu to the highest level of quality
- Keep the kitchen line clean by assisting in daily, weekly and monthly duties
- Help maintain labor goals by keeping staff streamlined
- Open to scheduling adjustments
- Other duties as assigned by Chef & Sous Chef
- Solid understanding of temperatures for proteins
- Proper holding/ cooling temperatures & methods
- Understand functions of gas/ electrical equipment
- Knowledge regarding sanitization and cross contamination
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Flexibility to adjust to new or unexpected scenarios
- Ability to work well with others
