We are looking for a Project Surveyor to join our Springfield, Missouri team.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee survey projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget.
- Sign and seal survey drawings in accordance with applicable regulations, standards, and professional guidelines.
- Coordinate utility locates to ensure accurate mapping of existing infrastructure.
- Review and verify survey drawings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to project requirements.
- Prepare and review legal documents, such as easements, right-of-way documents, and land descriptions.
- Collaborate with project teams and clients to understand project objectives, provide expert advice, and offer innovative solutions.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, meeting project deadlines, and delivering work of the highest quality.
- Champion OWN's five guiding principles, fostering a culture of ownership, responsiveness, mutual success, and fun.
Qualifications
- Licensed PLS in Missouri with the ability to obtain licensure in the adjoining state.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed PLS, demonstrating a track record of successful project execution.
- Strong leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing survey staff, both in the field and office.
- Extensive experience in boundary, topographical, and ALTA surveys, as well as construction staking and the use of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).
- Proficiency in preparing CAD drawings, utilizing software such as Civil 3D, Pix4D, Carlson Survey, or equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, while also being self-motivated and customer service-oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to sit for a long period of time
