Peopleready is Hiring an On-Site Manager Near Springdale, AR

The On-site Manager is responsible for providing business and workforce management solutions for our high-volume staffing relationships, including screening and placing qualified candidates in appropriate positions. This position acts as the primary contact for the client, in charge of attracting, retaining and motivating a variable workforce. The On-site Manager is also responsible for internal sales growth, gross margin improvement, continuous cost efficiency, worker development and management of workers compensation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Oversees day-to-day activities of workers and ensures satisfaction and safety.
  • Communicates with customers about safety expectations, worker concerns, and potential issues.
  • Addresses worker and customer issues as they arise; acts with urgency to ensure that customer and worker needs are met.
  • Retains number of associates at the site and finds opportunities to expand the number of workers deployed.
  • Communicates with branch/operations staff and assists branch with recruiting activities to ensure proper operations with worker match and dispatch for site.
  • Ensures Purchase Orders are issued for all work. Reviews Purchase Orders monthly and advises client account when additional funds are required and/or new Purchase Orders are required.
  • Collects work tickets from client’s management at all client sites and administers payroll to pay workers in a timely manner.
  • Oversees all weekly billings in compliance with contract documents; follows up weekly at customer vendor portal to ensure all approved invoices have been submitted correctly and have been scheduled for payment; makes Account Receivable calls when invoices approach payment dates.
  • Adheres to standard operating procedures as established by client contract.
  • Ensures personal protective equipment is in good condition prior to loaning it to the associates and that it is collected back from the associates at the end of their shift.
  • Safety, compliance and regulatory accountabilities: reinforces and promotes a work culture that places emphasis on worker safety being #1; proactively takes steps to lower Worker Safety Ratio (WSR).
  • Seeks ways to streamline processes for operational efficiency and excellence.
  • Conducts safety audit of all client operations, per contract documents; ensures proper signage and overall zone compliance.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled conference calls with remote client teams to ensure issues are addressed, guidance is provided, and professionalism and safety are maintained at client work sites.
  • Available 24/7 to take calls from client for emergency dispatch and problem solving.
  • Maintains required client credentials to ensure all required documentation is up to date and maintains all mandatory certification records.
  • Ensures compliance with rigorous client COVID-19 guidelines and requirements.
  • May have additional responsibility for training and certification of workers based on client needs (flaggers, etc.)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will have no direct reports but may be responsible for supervising workers on the job site and providing direction, guidance, and decision making in collaboration with the Branch Manager.

KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years’ experience in the staffing industry preferred
  • 3-5 years’ sales experience (CSP Certified Staffing Professional) preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience with payroll and operations preferred
  • Ability to work independently; self-motivated.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial environment.
  • Experience managing critical customer relationships.
  • Ability to market and sell the company’s value proposition.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Very positive attitude and the ability to be empathetic and flexible.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, general public and internal staff.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Required to inspect equipment, detect safety hazards, judge and communicate risks.
