Posted: May 1, 2024 Closed: May 22, 2024 Employment Opportunity: District POSITION: Clinical Coordinator (BCBA) 2024-2025 School Year Shrewsbury Public Schools is accepting applications for a Clinical Coordinator (BCBA) for Specialized Programs (PreK-12), beginning with the 2024-2025 school year. We are interested in candidates who are invested in the achievement, equity, and access of all learners in and beyond the classroom. This is a full-time benefits-eligible position with a salary consistent with the Shrewsbury Education Association agreement. Candidates with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, class, and/or gender backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply. This position reports to the Director of Specialized Programs and the Director of Counseling and Mental Health and is aligned with the clinical department. The primary function of this position will be to utilize and implement effective research-based practices to enhance the district's educational programs. Performance Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct clinical consultation for students in the ELC Program
  • Conduct various assessments (behavioral, skill, functional, home) to help direct programming.
  • Participate in team consult and parent clinics as necessary to provide training and clinical support to team members (including parents)
  • Provide training to ABA paraprofessionals in collaboration with the ELC Coordinator.
  • Provide clinical support to the Educational Learning Center (ELC) Coordinators regarding student-specific programming using research-based practices, including Functional Behavior Assessments and the development of Positive Behavior Support programs.
  • Provide clinical support to students across the district experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges as needed.
  • Work with the Director to develop consistent reliability, data collection, and accountability protocols to ensure the use of research-based practices.
  • Develop assessment protocols, criteria for direct service delivery (1:1, therapies, etc.), and criteria for fading of direct support services.
  • Participate in IEP meetings with parents, staff, and administrators as identified.
  • Support the district's efforts in developing, revising, and promoting workshops, training, and procedures for behaviorally related topics such as Functional Behavior Assessments, Prevention of Physical Restraint, Behavior Intervention Plans, etc.
  • Support training needs of the district by taking on the role of Safety Care Trainer.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and implement interventions in the least restrictive setting. Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Special Education
  • Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Special Education teacher, Severe License Preferred.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst Licensure
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum, with clinical challenges, etc. in a public-school setting
  • Flexibility to attend evening meetings and provide late afternoon/evening in-home support through parent training
  • Working knowledge of special education regulations/processes
