We are The Pump People! National Pump Company is a Glendale, AZ headquartered manufacturer of a complete line of vertical line shaft turbine and submersible pumps for the municipal, petroleum, agricultural, and industrial commercial markets. We have five (5) additional build and service locations throughout the United States to meet the needs of our customers.
We are looking for two levels of TECHNICAL (not software) applications Engineers; AE III and AE IV. This position may be fully remote for the right candidate with occasional travel to our Olive Branch. Mississippi. Occasionally, travel may be required to support sales and troubleshooting.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
Application Engineer III: This candidates will be a subject matter expert of our vertical pump applications and industries with 8-10 years of experience in municipal, agricultural, API, industrial applications requiring at least 30 feet of head. Reviewing highly engineered and complex projects for accuracy will be a main focus, as well as supporting non-conforming material related inquiries.
Application Engineer IV: This candidates will be a subject matter expert of our vertical pump applications and industries with 10 years of experience. Reviewing highly engineered and complex projects for accuracy will be a main focus, as well as supporting non-conforming material related inquiries. In addition to the AEIII, the AE IV will support project engineering as required to expedite submittals and production packet review.
Education/Certification
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Active Driver's License
Experience, Knowledge, and Skill
Read specifications, flow head pressures, pump curves for vertical line shaft or vertical turbine pump applications.
Strong people/communications skills, both oral and written are required.
Must be able to speak and write in English.
Must possess excellent computer skills in Microsoft, Excel, Word, Adobe, and ERP experience.
Ability to understand pump and fluid engineering applications
Physical Activities and Requirements of this Position
Regular requirement to speak and hear in a warehouse environment.
Regular use of computer, phone, copier, printer and multiple software applications.
There will be frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and bending.
Rarely lifting and/or moving objects up to 40 pounds, subject to warehouse environment and extreme temperatures.
Ability to wear applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Eye, Hearing, and other PPE as designated by the company or customer).
