Excellent emergency, critical, and specialty care requires exceptional and focused technical skill along with a team approach. We believe veterinary technicians are our greatest asset. We are looking for additional licensed technicians to join our team providing the best veterinary emergency care in the Seattle area and building an amazing workplace.

LVTs at TVES work with our veterinarians and other team members to provide exceptional patient care for dogs, cats, and small exotic pets and to contribute to our culture of employee engagement and ownership.

Job duties include triage and pre-exam of incoming patients, performing treatments and administering medication, filling prescriptions, performing laboratory tests, anesthetizing and monitoring animals for surgical procedures, monitoring and caring for critical patients, communicating with clients, communicating with attending doctors/staff, participating in and contributing to patient safety protocols and keeping the hospital clean and stocked for the following shift.

Ideal candidates enjoy the challenge of a busy shift, want to utilize the full breadth of their skills, want to expand and grow their skills, and enjoy working as part of a team to provide exceptional care to patients and clients.

Specific experience and qualification requirements include:

  • Active Washington state veterinary technician license

Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits

  • We are currently hiring for day and late swing shifts. As an emergency and 24hr hospital, shift rotation to help fairly cover holidays is expected for all staff. 
  • Compensation is based on experience and skills (hourly range $30-40/hour)
  • We also provide competitive benefits, as well as quarterly profit sharing, and participation in our stock appreciation rights plan (for full time employees), and participation in our future ESOP.
  • Shift differentials apply for overnight and weekend shifts and are in addition to hourly rates.
