Team
Our team manages, develops, and maintains training for the Amazon Tax team. We need a person to help us build engaging and interactive training for live and on-demand learning. We are looking for a self-driven instructional designer who can work with our subject matter experts, and create top of the line learning material.
Job Description
This position serves as an Instructional Designer for the Amazon Tax department. This person will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining training material for tax employees.
Required
• Knowledge of adult learning theories, practices, and principles of human behavior.
• Designs, develops, and maintains instructor-led, and on-demand training to meet employee development needs, utilizing instructional design techniques and technology.
• Collaborates and works with tax subject matter experts to create training material.
• Assess and determines training needs and/or knowledge gaps.
• Develops user guides/playbooks, and other training material based on the training needs.
• Assists in determining the best delivery of training: instructor led, on-demand, or mix of both.
• Knowledge on how to generate and edit: images, animations, text, and video.
• Ability to work within tight timelines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision demonstrating organization, time management, and teamwork.
• Ability to formulate ideas and communicate them in both written and oral format to a wide range of audiences and situations.
Optional
• Technical knowledge of the one or more of the following tools: Articulate 360, Camtasia, Snagit, GlobalMeet, Broadcast, and/or Cornerstone.
• Knowledge of determining the best training tools for delivering the content: GlobalMeet, Broadcast, etc.
• Experience creating training material for Tax, Accounting, Finance, etc.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 6-8 years of experience in a progressive training or teaching role; must include experience in assessing needs, creating instructor led training, and on-demand/eLearning training.
Preferred Education and Experience
• Degree in education, and/or instructional design.
• 6-8 years of experience creating training material in a corporate environment.
Contract Length: 5 months
Location: Remote
Pay Range: $55 - $60 per hour
