We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in the non-profit industry, based in Seal Beach, California. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with various accounting tasks, and contributing to the financial success of our organization.Responsibilities:• Perform general ledger analyses and bank reconciliations• Post adjusting entries and sales transactions to accounts• Assist with payroll processing and entering new shareholder information into database programs• Aid in the creation of special reports and entering escrow information into the system• Prepare and process Service Request Orders (SROs)• Maintain the vendor database and manage annual filings• Follow up on outstanding checks and implement the annual unclaimed property (escheat) process• Handle billing and maintain the receivables for outside vendors• Implement process improvements with respect to the accounting software.
