Exciting Opportunity for a Staff Accountant!

Join our dynamic team at a family-owned Tax and Accounting firm located in Seal Beach, CA. We are currently seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to contribute to our success and help drive our financial operations forward.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial decision-making.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure payroll taxes are accurately calculated and reported.
• Support audit and tax preparation processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
