Revel Communities is Hiring a Property Accounting Manager Near Scottsdale, AZ

Description

By collaborating with property and regional team members, the Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all financial information related to Revel communities as well as the corporate property management company financials. The Accounting Manager is also responsible for effectively managing the property accounting team and ensuring the onsite team members are performing the assigned accounting tasks accurately and in a timely manner. The Accounting Manager has a commitment to providing a high level of service to the community teams, the property accounting team, and the corporate support accounting and finance teams. Additional responsibilities include:

· Maintaining the complete books and records for all Revel communities, including analyzing and reviewing financial information, managing the month end close process, reviewing account reconciliations, support schedules and financial statements and preparing/reviewing journal entries.

What you will be doing: 

  • Managing Accounts Payable for the corporate entities and providing support to property on-site teams.
  • Driving the property level month-end close and year-end close process including the preparation of financial reporting packages, bank reconciliations and journal entries. 
  • Preparing the property management corporate monthly financials, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting package.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting controls, policies, and practices to enhance the workflow of the department and to ensure adherence of the standard financial procedures.
  • Collaborating with property and regional team members to ensure timely and accurate pre-close and month-end close activities are completed.
  • Proactively following up with questions regarding property profitability and addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with property, regional and corporate team members in preparation and analysis of property budgets and reforecasts.
  • Ensuring all real estate tax, debt, capital funding, and financial statement deadlines are met.
  • Provide “Best Practices” accounting policy and procedures guidance and direction to property accountants, property Business Office Directors and other Revel team members. 

As a manager, you will lead by example and live by our Revel Culture Code in your daily work and interactions with the team. Additional duties and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Your Experience:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of property management accounting experience within multifamily or senior
  • 2 years of management experience with direct reports
  • Experience with property management software; experience with Yardi Voyager preferred
  • Experience collaborating with onsite property teams strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP & accrual accounting
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work fast in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
