At Chick-fil-A Scottsboro, Shift Leaders are responsible for assisting the management team in all aspects of shift management and ensuring that each Guest has an outstanding experience. Shift Leaders are responsible for supervising assigned areas for an entire shift and may be assigned to open or close the restaurant; following established opening and closing procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead Team Members to maintain a food safe environment with a "Safety First" mentality.
• Create an environment of care and respect through thoughtful leadership.
• Ensure Team Members follow recipes and read tickets to accurately prepare all orders.
• Ensure Team Members are extremely accurate with weights and measurements for all recipe items.
• Ensure Team Members work at a pace to maintain restaurant's established speed of service guidelines.
• Ensure workstations and areas of ownership are clean at all times.
• Ensure cashiers follow cash handling procedures at all times.
• Execute proper security and cash handling and control procedures and hold cashiers accountable to adhering to policies and procedures.
• Understand and strictly adhere to minor labor laws.
• Administer Team Member arrival, breaks and departure with proper clock in and out procedures.
• Perform any of the operational tasks as needed throughout shift.
• Address Guest issues that may arise; consulting with management regarding complex issues.
• Maintain a positive working relationship and treat all employees with honor, dignity and respect while providing them with clear direction and feedback.
• Communicate employee performance and policy/procedure violations to management through appropriate systems.
• Strictly adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
