Responsible for the overall sales and gross profits of Grocery Categories assigned. Also responsible for the schematics, warehouse inventories and pricing structure for the department.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Exercises discretion and independent judgment relating to assigned Grocery Categories duties.
2. Maintains a professional business relationship in the company’s best interest when interacting with vendors.
3. Controls and monitors inventory levels at both the store level and warehouse DC.
4. Analyze product movement for optimum sales.
5. Negotiates and creates contracts for promotional monies.
6. Required traveling to trade shows.
7. Driving to different store locations and competition to constantly monitor business.
8. Communicate effectively and cross functionally with upper management and other depts.
9. Interface with District Managers to find solutions to store issues.
10. Responsible for maintaining company inventory levels through ordering, DSD and distribution.
11. Recommend changes in policies and procedures as necessary.
12. Special projects as assigned.
13. Maintain Schematics to support CGO
14. Review new items and discontinue slow movers (Category Reviews)
15. Responsible for obtaining sales and margin projections
16. Negotiate support of all marketing programs- digital, print and media

Job Requirements:

Education:

• This position requires a BA degree or comparable work experience in Purchasing.

Experience:

• Require at least four (4) to seven (7) years of experience.

Knowledge:

• This position requires general knowledge in mathematics and Grocery product lines.
• Efficient in Word, Excel and Power Point. Good communication skills, verbal and written a must.

Skills and Ability:

• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet the demand of work deadlines. Able to maintain good working relationships with co-workers-supervisor, management and department heads. Ability to identify issues and make the necessary corrections effectively.
• Analytical skills.

Range: $100k-140k
