QLM is Hiring a HR Benefits Assistant Near Sanford, FL

QLM is looking for a motivated Benefits Assistant to join our team for Term to Perm Position. In this role you will support the HR team in benefits administration. Your core duties will be to inform employees about our employee benefits, such as health and dental insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and retirement fund, among others. Additional responsibilities will include answering employees’ queries and concerns and maintaining the benefits and compensation database accurate and up to date.

Skills Desired/Requirements:

  • At least 1-5 years of experience working in an HR-related role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field or related experience
  • Expertise in HRIS and other HR-related systems
  • Strong understanding of employment and labor laws
  • Solid knowledge of HIPAA, FMLA, Medicare, and other state and federal regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Benefits, payroll or accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Benefits
    • HEP B Program administration
    • Auditing of HEP B forms
    • Enter request into Hire Right system and follow up.
  • Reconcile monthly billing.
  • Wellworks portal maintenance
    • Enter new hires and promotions.
    • Update Life Events/OE changes.
  • Update Address changes and Terminations.
  • Monthly reports and reconciliation
    • Wellness Expense tracking
    • Log expenses for reimbursement from UMR.
    • Wellness Event planning assistance
  • Contact Vendors
    • Order Supplies and Giveaways
    • Schedule speakers and coordinate with training
    • Assist with Wellness Wednesdays
  • New Hire and Life Event Benefit Follow up.
    • Assist Camie - Contact employees – phone calls, emails, etc.
    • Send monthly welcome email/cards to new hires.
    • Benefits Assistance
    • Pull copies of ID cards as needed for employees.
    • Filing – electronic filing of benefit documents into Dayforce
    • Address Changes
  • LOA processing and follow up.
    • Assist with LOA/FMLA letters/notifications/certifications.
    • Follow up on Return-to-Work releases.
    • Enter LOA and RTW in DF and on Monday board.
    • Assist with STD claims and follow up.
    • Follow up on weekly T/O report entries> 1week
  • Communicate with payroll regarding LOA, use of time off and benefit deductions.
  • Risk Notifications
    • Track and follow up non-work-related illness/injuries.
    • Shipping and distribution of materials to offices and jobsites
  • Time Off Respond to employee time off inquires.
  • Annual Open Enrollment
  • Assist with jobsite visits.
  • Act as point of contact for office.
  • Follow up and reconciliation assistance.
  • Special Projects – assist as needed
