Position Overview :
We are seeking a prep cook / BOH Manager with a strong sense of responsibility for the operation of the OLHSO Korean BBQ Truck kitchen and a passion for providing customers with high-quality food.
The primary role will be ingredient preparation, requiring basic knowledge of knife skills and kitchen equipment usage. After the probationary period, you will be responsible for direct food preparation and operation, often working alone with oversight from management.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in various kitchen roles, possessing time management skills and a sense of responsibility suitable for practical kitchen operation.
Responsibilities :
Basic skills in food preparation
Basic knowledge of food storage methods and their implementation
Quality inspection, checking, returning, and exchanging items based on food condition
Ordering and inventory management of food supplies
Awareness of cross-contamination prevention and personal hygiene, as well as adherence to company hygiene regulations
Knowledge of kitchen equipment cleaning and disinfection methods
Cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment after use (knives, canisters, utensils, etc.)
Overall kitchen cleanliness management (tabletop, floor, door, etc.)
Food setting according to portion standards
Loading and checking of food supplies inside the truck
Cleaning of drain grates and pots inside the truck
Consultation with management regarding any uncertainties
Awareness of potential kitchen safety hazards and accident prevention
Requirements :
Minimum 2 years of experience
Full-time availability required
Experience in handling vegetables, seafood, and meat in the kitchen
Required kitchen work-related certifications : valid Food Handler (mandatory), Food Manager Certification (preferred)
Flexibility in work schedule due to truck operation
Korean language (preferred)
General computer skills
Proficiency in Excel (preferred)
