Position Description:
The Behavior Technician works one-on-one with children with Autistic Disorder (AD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDDNOS), Asperger’s Disorder (AS) and Childhood Disintegrative Disorder (CDD). The implement the Behavior Plan (BP) designed and maintained by a Program Supervisor and gather quantifiable data necessary for the Program Supervisor to evaluate the effectiveness of the BP in achieving identified goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Follows the instructions of the BCBA/program supervisor
• Provides behavior assistance/interventions to assigned clients
• Provides behavior support services
• Provides crisis intervention
• Implements behavior plans
• Documents session per policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours (or equivalent) of college coursework and currently be enrolled in course of study leading to an associate's or bachelor's degree (psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences, human development or related fields); or have completed a minimum of 48 semester hours (or equivalent) of college coursework.
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Computer proficiency required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
Compliance & Ethics Expectations:
• Participates and successfully completes the Company’s Compliance program requirements and adheres to the Code of Conduct, Company policies, and applicable federal and state requirements.
• Sets an example for other employees regarding how the Company’s Code of Conduct and
Compliance Program is applied and observed every day when dealing with customers, business operations, or other team members.
• Reports potential violations of Company policy, Code of Conduct, and/or applicable laws and regulations to the Company hotline, through the chain of command, to the Compliance and Ethics Department, or through other channels made available by the Company for reporting potential violations.
• Promotes an environment in which other employees are encouraged to report potential violations.
• As appropriate, provides input and suggestions regarding areas in which policies, procedures, workflows, and/or controls can be improved to enhance compliance Physical/Work.
