San Gabriel Mission High School (SGMHS) is a college-preparatory Catholic high school located on the historic grounds of the San Gabriel Mission.

SGMHS has an immediate opening for a Cross Country Coach. SGMHS is seeking a committed individual to be the head Coach Cross Country coach with the possibility of leading our Track / Field Program in the Spring.

Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, knowledge of track / cross country fundamentals, and have competed at the high school and / or college.

Prior coaching experience at the elementary or high school level is a plus. The individual would work alongside the Athletic Director during summer conditioning in the hopes that this candidate will lead the Track and Cross Country programs for the 2024-2025 school year.

Cross Country summer conditioning begins in June 2024.

Requirements

Qualifications :

• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of track / cross country fundamentals
• Played at the high school and / or college
• Prior coaching experience at the elementary and / or high school level is a plus.
• The individual would be responsible for assisting the Varsity program.
• Once hired, individuals should possess Virtus, Play Like a Champion, and First / Aid CPR certification as well as fingerprinting with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.

We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
