Position Summary & Responsibilities
JPJ Engineering is looking for experienced field personnel to assist our project engineers by performing onsite observation of construction work and gathering relevant measurements to ensure compliance with the project’s plans and specifications. The RPR works independently in the field to document construction activities, identify potential problems, and evaluate contractor performance using technical discretion and sound judgment. The RPR will serve as the liaison between our engineering staff, our clients, and various construction contractors, investigating complaints, assisting in the resolution of requests for information, and working to provide positive solutions to issues, complaints, and requests.
Qualifications
· Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, and professionally, both verbally and in writing
· Ability to work independently and objectively in observing the work of others
· Strong math and organizational skills
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
· Plan reading experience (Preferred)
· MnDOT Grading/Base/Bituminous/Concrete Certification (Preferred)
· Knowledge in survey methods (Preferred)
This is a full-time, seasonal position. Travel to/from projects in St. Louis County will be required. Mileage and travel time from /to the office to the project site will be reimbursed.

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
