Colder Products Company (CPC) is Hiring a Product Manager Near Roseville, MN

In this role, you will be the leader to support the growth of assigned product lines through portfolio management and then new product introduction. The Product Manager will grow the assigned product and markets by meeting and exceeding our customer expectations with a collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit. The position will begin with a focus on the portfolio management responsibilities. As the knowledge and expertise with the products and market grows, this role will expand to include the new product development responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management (Downstream Responsibilities)

  • Technical liaison to all internal and external bioprocess customers (customer service, bioprocess applications specialists, bioprocess sales managers, marcomm, scheduling, tooling, quality, OEM’s, distributors, end users).
  • Ownership of downstream activities – change control, product validation reports, letterhead statements creation, technical product questionnaire
  • Promote and train internal and external stakeholders globally on the product attributes and key messages.
  • Assess market competition by comparing CPC product to competitors' products.
  • Define product marketing communication objectives.
  • Manages change control communication with market - develops technical content of marketing and change control communications, facilitates market change notifications through Marcomm, and all follow up customer support for change.
  • Collaborate with operations on lead times, product stocking and inventory needs. Support customer accounts with delivery requirements as needed through capacity and product allocation.
  • Leads cross functional team (internal and external stakeholders) through a field product quality issue.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

New Product Strategy & Development (Upstream Responsibilities)

  • Create business plans for future product lines by collecting and analyzing voice of customer data; evaluating new product ideas and/or product changes.
  • Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts.
  • Determine product pricing via value-based pricing strategies.
  • Bring new products to market by proposing product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules
  • Work closely with and help lead a cross-functional team to bring the product to market through a phase gate new product development process.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience related to product management, ideally within the single-use biopharma or other regulated medical industry
  • Comfortable and passionate public speaker (presenting to executive team, speaking at conferences and trade shows, customer presentations).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills which can be utilized to build trust and influence across teams
  • A technical mind with enough comfort level to understand product specifications and collaborate with engineers, but with a primary focus on business and strategic aspects.
  • An actioned-oriented person who is able to effectively lead a diverse team through ambiguity

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 2 years of product management or related technical customer facing experience
  • 2 years of experience defining and launching new products to market

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Experience working with biopharma and/or components used within biopharma manufacturing processes
  • Proven experience developing and implementing effective product development plans and strategies in a B2B setting
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Experience with fluid handling products/markets
  • Experience working with OEM and distribution channels

  • 30% or less
