Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing distribution company, is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, establishing procedures to optimize client billing and cash flow, and preparing financial reports for management. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of progressive experience in accounting and a strong attention to detail. The salary range for this position is $65K-95K with a comprehensive benefit package.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely generation and submission of invoices, and track them until payment is received.
• Establish procedures and make recommendations to optimize client billing and ensure positive cash flow.
• Review accounts payable activities to ensure accurate and timely processing, and provide support and backup as required.
• Manage and reconcile fixed assets in collaboration with the Controller.
• Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports for management on key Divisional and project-based criteria such as P&L, cash flow, performance against budgets and sales forecasts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable aging.
• Assist with intercompany reconciliations.
• Monitor and reconcile applicable GL and balance sheet accounts and activities to ensure proper transactional flow and accurate recording at the project, GL, and P&L level.
• Assist in the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
