Contract Cath Lab Tech or Invasive Cardiac Technologist position in a Cardiac Catheterization/Electrophysiology (EP) Lab in Rochester, New York. Here are the details:
- Job Title: Cath Lab Tech or Invasive Cardiac Technologist
- Shift: Primarily day shifts with some late-night (evening) shifts and on-call duties as needed. The position may require 10-hour shifts.
- Job Duties:
- Prepare the procedure room and sterile field for surgical procedures, including setting up sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Anticipate equipment required during procedures, operate equipment, and maintain sterile instruments.
- Function in multiple roles of the procedure team, including scrubbing, circulating, and documenting.
- Good organizational skills are essential.
- Requirements:
- Must be a Certified Surgical Technician or meet the New York State requirements to be grandfathered into Public Health law 2824.
- Preference for candidates with Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification through CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- Additional Information:
- Full-time positions are available.
- The job primarily involves day shifts but may include late-night shifts and on-call responsibilities.
- The role involves assisting with heart surgery and procedures in the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab.
This position requires technical expertise in assisting with cardiac procedures and surgeries, including maintaining a sterile environment, operating equipment, and working effectively as part of a procedure team.
