Position Summary: An Busser is the core support staff member of the restaurant and responsible for table maintenance and cleanliness as directed. A Busser supports expeditors, servers, and management by cleaning and resetting tables, ensuring the availability of flatware, plates, and brings guest needs to the attention of the waitstaff, ensuring a seamless and superior guest experience. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Promotes superior guest service. Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani. Clear, clean and re-set tables as Guests depart, arrange tables as required. Take dirty dishes, silverware and glassware to dish room, return "bar" glassware to bar. Stock bus stations for adequate silverware, dishes, napkins, ice, condiments prior to and throughout shift. Maintain good cleanliness and organization of bus station and service areas. Empties trash and spot sweeps whenever floor needs it, or when requested by management. Collaborate with other servers and kitchen/bar staff in a friendly, professional manner to ensure Guest satisfaction. Take direction from servers and bartenders to assist in table maintenance. Know restaurant seat table and seat numbers. Ensure all sanitation and food safety practices are being followed by the FOH including but not limited to refreshing sanitizer buckets and practicing proper cleaning methods. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must possess a High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD); or zero to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment. Must have adequate communication and verbal skills. Valid Food Handler’s card (onsite certification provided). Must be able to stand and move quickly for an 8-10-hour shift. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
