Job Description:Superintendent needed to support construction, remediation, and demolition projects nationwide. Position will support DOE, USACE, AFCEC, Navy, and various commercial/industrial clients. This position will be responsible for client relations, labor relations, cost control, schedules, subcontractors, change orders, technical/contractual compliance, QA/QC, safety, etc.; provide input into project plans on assigned projects; coordinate and monitor project performance in accordance with approved work plans, budgets and schedules; and ensure that required health and safety protocols are strictly followed at all times. This position will also be required to support estimating on assigned projects.
Assignment to this position requires the capability to manage field projects of up to $10 million with a minimum 10 years managing construction, remediation, and demolition projects.
Civil experience preferred
MEC project experience also desired, but not required.
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Requires past experience working under DOE, USACE, USAF, and/or Navy contracts.
Other responsibilities include:Responsible for the completion and financial outcome of construction projects. Directs and supervises work of project foremen and craft personnel and works to establish operational priorities and maintaining satisfactory relationships with clients, managers, engineers, office staff and all others on the project team.
Key position responsibilities/functions as follows:Use effective verbal and written communication skills.
Read and understand plans and specifications.
Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Possess full range of motion and flexibility.
Work up to a 12-hour shift, in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
Identify workplace safety hazards and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize them.
Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications and industry standards.
Be motivated and work productively.
Manage contract administration (subcontractor/field management meetings for communications).
Monitor status of project, schedule, productivity and costs.
Travel more than 75% of the time.
In addition, perform any other job-related duties as requested by supervisor. Physical ability to oversee project activities related to the position, including travel to project sites and have the ability to use safety equipment as required.
Additional Requirements:* CTI is a Drug-Free Workplace - Must pass pre-hire drug screen.
* Must possess valid driver's license.
* Must be able to physically navigate construction sites.
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
