Wildwood Sports Bar in Rochester,mn is looking for one kitchen manager to join our 36 person strong team. We are located on 1517 16th St Sw Suite C. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and engaged.

Kitchen Manager Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION 

Manages the back-of-the house operations management and enforcement of company policies, procedures, programs and performance standards.

POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS 

Ensures that all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, according to all established procedures,

Ensures that inventory levels for both food and non-food items are properly maintained, and par levels adjusted accordingly during busy and slow times

Regular Communication with General Manager and Secondary Location via Text, Phone Calls or Email. This may require communication on days off or while not on shift.

Ordering of products

Maintain low labor and food costs

Scheduling staff 

Hiring and interviews of new staff 

Anticipates maintenance equipment repairs and adherence to safety and Sanitation requirements 

Attends manager meetings, makes presentations as requested.

Ensures the thorough training and development of kitchen staff

Hours per week 40-45 may be required

Scheduled days will be flexible but will include nights and weekends

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS 

Extensive standing, Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold 

Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 2 1/2 - 3 ft. 

Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress during busy times 

Communicating with employees and other managers

Lifting up to 50 pounds for a distance up to 30 feet 

EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED 

High school diploma; some college or degree preferred. 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

• One to two year’s previous experience cooking; preferably management
