• Assist Cooks in the preparation of meals, along with chopping fruits, vegetables, making dressings, and preparing other choices for the salad bar. Other food preparation duties could include baking and dessert.
• Serve food to the students and employees in a cafeteria style service line.
• Be aware of special diets and food allergies while preparing and serving meals to the students, as coordinated by the Registered Dietitian.
• Fill in as a Dishwasher, when needed, to wash and clean plates, cups, cooking pots and pans, utensils, etc. using a high-pressure washer.
• Assist in cleaning, sweeping, and mopping the café and kitchen each shift.
• Remove trash and assist in stocking supplies.

• Basic skills and aptitude in cooking methods, equipment, and procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills, particularly when assisting / serving youth and employees during meal times.
• Demonstrated maturity and good judgement.

• Current Food Handler's Permit or must obtain permit upon hire.
• Post high school, being at least 18 years of age or older to apply.
• Proficiency and fluency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.
