City of Powell is Hiring an Accounting Specialist Near Powell, OH
This position is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services for the Finance Department. This includes processing and monitoring vendor payments, reconciling transactions, communicating with vendors, and assisting with the preparation and monitoring of the payroll system.
The Accounting Specialist will complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and review requisitions and purchase orders including verifying the accuracy of submitted documents; resolving discrepancies; analyzing accounts; and performing follow-up activities.
Qualifications for this position include possession of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or other relevant field and three (3) years of relevant experience in accounts payable, payroll, and data processing experience required, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
The salary range for this position is $25 to $35 an hour and includes an attractive benefits package including paying into Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, vacation/personal time/sick leave, and health insurance effective day one of employment.
