    District Office An immediate opening exists for a Payroll Specialist at Pottsgrove School District. This posiiton performs payroll functions for the entire district, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and timely and assists with accounting procedures.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Responsible for all bi-weekly payroll functions including collection of time cards, and validation.
    • Verify and maintain employee records as provided by personnel and/or board reports.
    • Calculate all benefits and voluntary deductions.
    • Preparation of quarterly payroll tax returns and pension reporting.
    • Verify and maintain direct deposit accounts.
    • Provide assistance with the budget preparation.
    • Prepare information for Audit.
    • Provide assistance to the district accounts payable personnel.
    • Maintain communication with staff, answering employee verification questions; resolve related pay-related concerns.
    • Perform bookkeeping and payroll services for the Pottsgrove Recreation Board.
    • Attend appropriate conferences and workshops.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Business Manager.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience in payroll practices required.
    • High School diploma required.
    PAY RATE*: $23.45- $25.45
    • based on experience commensurate with the position
    BENEFITS: Competitive benefits package starting the first day of employment and includes healthcare and pension (PSERS).

    SCHEDULE: year round (12 months, 260 days/year)

    LOCATION: PGSD District Offices

    Must have current Act 34, 151 & 114 Clearances
