Our Lady of Hope Catholic School is Hiring a Resource Teacher Near Potomac, VA
Our Lady of Hope Catholic School is a K-8 elementary school located on a beautiful campus in Potomac Falls, Virginia. We strive to educate our students for eternity with an emphasis on faith formation and have high academic standards. We are a blue ribbon school with dedicated teachers and staff. Our small school community feels like a family.
Duties include:
Create Student Assistance Plans
Work with teachers to ensure that student accommodations are met.
Provide small group instruction, and individualized instruction for students with special needs
Participate in eligibility meetings and IEP/ISP meetings
Use research-based intervention practices
Assist in screening new students applying for enrollment
Help classroom teachers through observations and assessments of students recommended for referral
Provide recommendations to teachers for classroom strategies, accommodations to address students' needs
Standardized testing assistance
Facilitate meetings with teachers and parents
Ideal candidate has:
Virginia state licensure or the ability to obtain VCEA certification
Experience in special education
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
