Then Living Well Homes is the place for you! We are currently looking for an experienced, immediate, full time Porter/Groundskeeper for one of our beautiful Properties in Portage. As a Porter/Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the common areas, office, occasional turn units as well as the general upkeep of the properties in order to enhance and maintain community and curb appeal.

Essential Functions:

• Conducts all business in accordance with policies and procedures, state and federal laws, i.e., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.
• Checks and replaces exterior lighting on a regular basis.
• If certified for pool maintenance, clean and maintain the pool as directed.
• Always maintains awareness of proper safety precautions
• Constantly observes conditions of apartment property throughout the community and immediately reports and/or initiates action to correct unsafe conditions.
• Is aware of all utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs and sewer cleanouts.
• Ensures the storage areas always remain locked when not in use.
• Clean and maintain models daily.
• Clean all vacant apartments as directed by the Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Performs additional duties requested by the Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Inform management of supplies needed on a weekly basis.
• Sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning windows and walls of common areas

Position Qualifications:

• Ability to take direction and assume responsibility for performance.
• Ability to exercise good judgment, at times in stressful situations.
• Knowledge and ability to perform maintenance and repair of property grounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Some computer skills that allow the ability to maintain maintenance notes and work order progress/completion.
• Ability to interact professionally with people in face to face situations.
