Job Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator is an entry-level position within the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Coordinator assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Coordinator oversees the on-boarding process and serves as the primary Human Resources contact for all new hires.

Summary of Role and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a comprehensive new hire process to ensure each new team member has a positive onboarding experience and all required processes and procedures are completed within a timely manner.
  • Complete all Human Resources onboarding processes to ensure new hire paperwork is completed, the appropriate background checks are run and reviewed, and each new team member setup is complete prior to their first day of employment.
  • Schedule and facilitate new hire orientation for all new team members.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to create and distribute internal communications such as the monthly newsletter, team member recognitions, new hire introductions, etc.
  • Oversee the employee celebration program to ensure all anniversaries and birthdays are recognized.
  • Assist with completion of annual and semi-annual compliance reporting including the filing of an annual EEOC report and conducting the semi-annual watchlist review.
  • Oversee the team member recognition program.
  • Process all promotions and transfers through completion of a status change form and updated employment agreement.
  • Assist with recruiting by reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist with creation and editing of various policies and procedures such as the Team Member Handbook and state addendums.
  • Assist with the planning and organization of company engagement initiatives.

Preferred Experience

  • One years previous experience in a similar role

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education in business with an emphasis in human resources, business or related field
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building skills
  • Previous experience with ADP software
  • Previous experience presenting to groups of people
